We could hardly contain our excitement as we began our journey from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh City.
Cambodia was wonderful, and will always hold a special place in our hearts, but we were ready to leave.
We were tired of teaching, tired of long bus journeys, tired of feeling restricted and just wanted to spread our proverbial wings and get lost in a new city, in a new country.
With no real itinerary planned, other than needing to be in Da Nang by the 11th, we were pouring over our Lonely Planet book, coming up with an ever changing travel schedule to fit our tight time frame.
First stop, Ho Chi Minh City. A city that never seems to sleep with as many motos as people. Noise and commotion, it was strangely cosmopolitan with a strong Western influence felt across the city.
