mondulkiri and the elephants

With Pchum Ben celebrations taking place across the country, we had an extra few days off school this weekend and we decided to head further afield to a province called Mondulkiri for one very big draw.

Elephants.

Gentle giants, intelligent and silly, elephants have long been my favourite animals and the chance to get up close and personal with real, wild elephants was something I just couldn’t resist. It only took a few days to convince Zac to head east instead of north up to Siem Reap with the rest of our group and after confirming we’d still be able to see the elephants despite Pchum Ben, I was unbelievably excited.
