Excitement at being together as a group dramatically juxtaposed against the horrific realities of life in Cambodia a generation ago.
We watched the film Survival in the Killing Fields, felt emotionally wrecked and shattered and in the same breath were joking about Bieber and ordering Kampot cider.

It’s hard to know how to feel once you start delving in to the contemporary history of Cambodia. And like the rest of the country, you just watch it, and accept it and ignore it to move on.
